PURPOSE
Each service delivery is based on an annual Service Level Agreement (SLA), signed by a user representative or Main User and a service provider or Main Service Provider.
The Main User is the representative of all users he federates. The Main Service Provider is the interface between the Service Provider who operated a service chain to deliver the product and the Main User. In many cases the Main Service Provider is also the Service Provider. In some cases the products are delivered by the Service Provider to the Main Service Provider who delivers and packages them before delivery to the Main User.
Main purpose of the SLA is to define a bi-partite relationship
CONTENT
The Service Level Agreements defines in particular the following points:
The delivery plan: that is the
products type,
the delivery date to the users,
geographical coverage.
The Main Service Provider and Service Provider commitments:
Deliver the product in compliance with its technical specification (resolution, accuracy,…),
Deliver the product on-time. Aim is to provide the products to the users in compliance with their operational needs and allow the users to exploit the product. For instance it is expected that some products are delivered to the civil protection before the fire season starts,
Deliver the products according to the delivery mode defined with the Main User: type and media (FTP, DVD,…) and product format.
The Main User and users commitments:
Provide a feedback to the Main Service Provider on the delivered products. This feedback can be collected with a questionnaire or by emails in particular for the Rapid Mapping Service operated for the CHARTER. This feedback is used to produce the Service Utility Report [U7],
Provide support to the Main Service Provider for the technical or operational validation. It means in particular providing reference data like ground surveys, aerial photographs which are used to perform an evaluation of the performance of the products delivered. Main user according to its interest can perform himself a technical evaluation of the delivered products and provide the results to the Main User.
Organise meetings with users to inform them about the existence of the RISK-EOS products and diffuse knowledge about added value of these products with regards their needs and operational mission,
When applicable, protect the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) linked to the products. This is done by signing an engagement act, which defines the rules regarding IPRs.
When applicable, financial contribution to acquire the products, in particular for PHASES 2 and 3.
